does pulling out method work

I have a friend that doesn't use birth control or a condom and uses the pulling out method and she suggested it to me but I am of course not doing that I am birth control and use condoms but I am just curious doe the pulling out method really work? like would it prevent pregnancy? Like I said I have a friend that does this
