Today I got a random friend request on Facebook. Absolutely no mutual friends. I'm positive I've never seen this woman
 in my life. So just to be sure I asked her directly....

I get fake requests all the time. I just deny and block.

She might be trying to promote her MLM business. I've had several moms try to befriend me only to discover they want me to try their essential oils/magic face cream/jewelry/nail wraps/candles, etc.

I dated, very briefly, a psycho private investigator, who made fake social media accounts and friended people and their friends constantly as part of investigations, good job being careful!
