constipated baby?

My baby is ebf until this week the doctor gave the ok to introduce solids. He's 5 months. And he's been struggling to poop. This morning he pooped a little bit and it was solid. Does anyone know how I can help him poop? Please help

My advice is just feed him only fruits and veggies, steamed or puréed. They have the fluid and fibers, and easier to digest.

Get away from rice cereals, they have no fiber and minimum nutriuints, baby usually will be constapated with rice cereals.

Give him prune juice and water hopefully he'll be okay😊

Karo syrup. Dip a pacifier, bottle nipple, or finger in it then let baby have it. Always worked for my kids and my doc recommend it when nothing else helped. Be prepared for a big poopie! 😂

I use vasoline on a small q tip. Or cotton swab. Put in rectum. It helps.  Its gentle.

Oh man I've been dealing with this for the past 3 weeks too. You tube the I LOVE YOU tummy massage. It helps get the poop moving and out. This with a warm bath got my LO to finally poop. I'm going to try prunes or pears for her next feeding.

My daughter would get constipated with the store bought baby food. I make homemade baby food and she does much better with it.
