husband values parents more

I feel like my husband values his parents opinions and feeling more then mine.  But whenever I try to bring it up, he gets upset and ignores anything else I say about it.  I hav no idea what to do. I've thought about going to a counselor at our church but finding time for both is to go would be difficult.
