You're never ready to have kids!

I always hear this statement and I do not agree with it. I think you can prepare yourself and be mentally/financially stable enough to have children. I think that sense of stability comes at various financial levels and I don't think there is a set rule on how to be prepared. But I just disagree with the statement. Does anyone else feel the same?

Our story: We were able get married, travel a bit, save up buy a home, I got a job working from home, then have our baby. I feel we were as prepared as we needed to be before we had our little girl. We did not start TTC till we felt "Ready".
