Can babies have nightmares?

My baby is 5 months and sometimes she'll be sleeping on me and just randomly cry out in her sleep like the saddest most scared cry ever. But she's still sleeping. And she's twitching like she's dreaming and everything. It's so scary!!!! Is this normal?? What could she possibly be having a nightmare about?
