My Dr stripped my membrane today!!

So today I am 37.1 weeks prego and I went for my weekly check up. I am 1 1/2 cm dilated (I have been since I was 35 weeks), and today when my doc checked to see if I was dilated more he asked if I wanted him to strip my membrane and said YES because I am beyond ready to meet my baby boy, but I haven't even had so much as a mild cramp 😔 have any of yall heard of going into labor after having this done?
