anyone else super nostalgic?!

My son just turned 10 months on the 15th, and he's getting so big! The weather here just outside of Boston is starting to warm up again like it was when he was born and its making me miss him as a newborn. How is it possible to love him at this age, yet miss the smaller version of him?! Anyone else ever get overly emotional and/or nostalgic about their little ones now that their 1st birthday is right around the corner?

No, I don't miss it at all!!! The colic was terrible and all he did was sleep and scream. Each stage gets easier as he gets older.

I'm happy for moms that had a positive newborn experience though. More power to you!

Yes!! It's one of the joys of life to get to watch your child grow. Just a good reminder to enjoy every minute....even the many difficult ones!

I was in tears today after taking him to daycare. He's no longer in the infant room but transitioning to waddle room since he's pretty much walking. Wasn't expecting to get emotional about it but guess that means he's growing up. There's a newborn at his daycare and I was thinking of how it seems like yesterday he was starting daycare and being that little. But love seeing his personality smiles and giggles continue to show through as he's getting bigger.

Everytime I look at pictures I just can't believe my daughters almost a year! Her personality, her development, just watching her grow and change brings me so much joy, but it does make me sad because it feels like I just brought her home a couple months ago. I am a ftm and I feel like the first year is the hardest, and by no means am I an expert but I feel like I just got the swing of everything and the start of her being more independent is right around the corner 😩
