Experience with Prometrium?

Question

I recently miscarried at 5 weeks and according to my blood tests I have super low progesterone. Dr thinks this could be a reason I miscarried and has prescribed Prometrium. Has anyone had success with this?

I was on it from week 8- 16. And I'm now 37.5 weeks and waiting for my little guy to come anytime. Taken Orally I had horrible horrible side affects I could not function. So my doc switched to vaginally and they got a lot better but it's very messy that way so wear a pad if you take the pill that way. I've never taken the shot but have a friend that had to take them till she was like 27 weeks and she's also currently waiting for her little girl to come any time. She also had to have her cervix stitched which is now removed cause she's due anytime. Best of luck to u.
