how do you put your baby to sleep?

I need some strategies to try. And I don't want to use CIO. Thank you!

I think people have the wrong impression of cry it out. It's to train them to fall asleep, not to have them suffer! And they shouldn't cry it out forever! For my daughter it was less than 3 days of using the Ferber method! Now there is no struggle at all!! Just something to look into. I get it if you don't want to use it! It's tough! But in my opinion it is SO worth it!

Dinner between 5-6. Bath time at 7:30, baby massage with Aveno lotion, fresh pajamas, "clean" the water from her ears with a q tip (she loves it she will pull at her ears if we don't do it), bit of orajel if needed, brush her hair, kisses good night from mom and dad, wave good night to the cat, good night moon book, few oz of bottle then nurse to sleep. Sleeps from about 8:00pm to 6:30 when dad gets up for work then if she's feeling cuddly she will nurse and go back to sleep till 8-9.

Routine - dinner at 630, change into pjs, get some love from mommy and daddy, at 730 she is in her pack n play with her pacifier and Violet (leap frog dog) plays her music for 15 mins and she is usually out. If she doesn't fall asleep.and is standing and crying I may pick her up and rock and or feed her for 10 mins before trying again.

Nurse, bottle, or cuddle. When he falls asleep put him in his bed. If he wakes up, lay with him until he us back asleep. We have 0 routine. Everything happens when it happens. The only routine is that every night starting at 7 he gets fussy and wants to sleep so that's when bedtime usually starts.

My daughter up to 9 months would be layed down and she's go to sleep but these last few months have been a nightmare. At first taking her for a walk would send her off but she grew used to that so would sit herself up refusing to sleep.

Now my hubby lies on the floor lays her across his chest and she's asleep within 5 minutes. I dread when he wants his next night out lol

Dinner 6/630, bath at 7, lotion, change into PJs, wind down in her room, boob then place in her crib and sit next to it and sing to her. Touching her hand when she reaches out then petting her hair until she falls asleep. I don't pick her up and I don't reach into the crib. Someone on here suggested that method and she's out in 20min. Works like a charm! She out by 8/8:20 until 4am to nurses then officially awake at 7:30am.

I play play play with my baby till he gets super hungry, feed him, let him have his bottle, after he is done he try's to "power up" with energy and goes crazy playing for about ten fifteen minutes and then I can tell he is tired and i put him in his crib and say night night and he goes to sleep! He's almost one year old

I just put her in her crib and she goes. Lol been doing that since 4m. She does her thing in there a bit....up and down, rolling, plays with her breathable bumpers a bit. Sometimes this goes on for an hour if she's super overtired! But she's quiet and hardly ever cries in there. If she does it's just for a min bc she can't get in a good spot or something. 
She always likes to go on her own. If I try to hold and rock her she won't settle AT ALL and gets frustrated. It's been like that since about 4 months. It's good bc she goes right down on her own for naps and night....but it would be nice to cuddle her a bit too lol

You may be hitting that 8-10 month regression. We hit it hard it was a horrible couple weeks. You could use the method of putting your lo down go in every 5 minutes reassure but don't pick up. Cio is so hard we finally did do it and bedtime is back to being easy and delightful and the crying wasn't horrible for us
