Missed Miscarriage Question

Hi ladies

I need some help if any of you have experienced this before. So, my first appointment I was like 8wks and 4days. The doctor said that it felt like a normal pregnancy and that my uterus felt more like 9 or 10 wks along. So, this week I went in for my first ultrasound. There was a gestational sac was there and a small presence of a yolk sac. The tech couldn't find a fetal pole and that the sac was measuring at 7wks and 5days. My doctor said he wasn't hopeful and told me my options. But I'm not sure he was right or not. I'm still having symptoms, no cramping, and no spotting. He didn't even suggest another US in a week. I'm opting for it to pass naturally. I just don't know what to think. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ladies.
