UPDATE#2: Just to be clear, I do not have a single problem with boys playing with dolls. My son can play with dolls, just like if I ever have a daughter, she can play with toy trucks. A toy is a toy. I am simply asking thoughts on the doll help him prep for a new sibling....

UPDATE: I was asking for thoughts on whether or not it would help him in prep for a new sibling, not whether or not it was okay for a boy to have a doll. Thanks for all the responses everyone!

So my SO and I will be starting to try for a second baby in a few months, and we were thinking that maybe we should get our boy a baby doll. Our thinking is that he would have a new toy(which is always a plus lol), and that it'd be good practice for him for when he has an actual new baby sibling. Oh, our son will be two in June.

Any thoughts?
