Period or STD??

So I have a new bf and things kinda moved fast between us. We didn't use protection obviously.. should have... well recently I had found out that he had slept with another girl a FEW days before we got together. My period is supposed to start in 6days. I had a STD before and one of those symptoms is bleeding in between periods. Well I notice I was spotting this morning. So my question is do y'all think the spotting is normal or am I just being paranoid???? Please comment!...
