Naming son after husband

My husband was named after his father, and his mom was also named after her mother so it's a family tradition for them but it's totally weird to me and my family. I do not want to name my son after my husband and his father. And it causes an argument quite often. How did you or how would you convince your husband to agree or at least compromise with you?!?
