Bladder pain

Has anyone else had recurrent pain when peeing and during penetration? Around 7 months ago, I went in to the doctor for a UTI (always felt the urge to go to the bathroom, very little urination, and burning when I went to the bathroom). They gave me antibiotics but it kept coming back. The third time I went, they said they couldn't find anything in my urine anymore and suggested I went to the gynecologist or a urologist. I never did. Ever since, every other day, it hurts to pee if I hold my bladder for more than an hour. I don't feel the urge to pee all the time anymore though. I'm going to the doctor next week, but I would like to know if anyone else experienced this for so long and what it turned out to be. (Btw, I became sexually active a few months before this happened)
