Baby measuring behind. Opinions?? How common??

I just had my first ultrasound yesterday at 8 weeks. The ultrasound tech said that baby is only measuring at 7 weeks and 1 day and asked if I was sure of my last period. Yes, I was sure. This baby was planned. Heartbeat was 139 and they said that was good. I have another ultrasound supposed to be in 2 weeks to see how baby is growing, but it's set for 3 weeks bc doctor won't be in. Should I be worried? They said everything looked okay but I'm still a worry wart because of my last miscarriage at 6 weeks.

My ovulation wasn't when I thought so I was further along. More than likely your ovulation was off. I use to test for ovulation but since it was the same I stopped and went w Glow. It changed from my last miscarriage, now 18 weeks.

This is normal. Everyone is different. My midwife told me it's just because EVERY SINGLE baby is a different size. Height, etc.

My first appointment, I was measuring a few days ahead. I was 7 weeks and 4 days but measuring 8 weeks. Next appointment, I was 9 weeks and 3 days and measuring a day behind. I was pretty concerned but they said it was completely normal and I got to see baby dance and wiggle around on the screen so I was reassured

Baby can measure behind or ahead by up to 7+/- days. That's what I was told during my pregnancy. Anything more than that is when there may be a problem so don't stress. Try to relax and wait until your Dr. Appointment. DONT RESEARCH.. you will drive yourself crazy with what ifs and possibilities of what could be going on and you and baby don't need that stress.

My baby measured a few days behind even though I had an IUI. Thing is, at my next ultrasound, he had grown the right amount and was still 3 days behind. So, as long as your ultrasounds show that the baby is growing at the right rate, it doesn't matter really +-7 at the first ultrasound. Good luck. Don't stress.

You are fine,  you just ovulated and or implanted later than you thought

Maybe you didn't ovulate when you thought and got pregnant a little later...
