Are your doctors giving you weight estimates?

Question

I'm seeing some people posting what their baby is expected to weigh- are your doctors doing ultrasounds to see if baby is head down and how big they are? I'm almost 35 weeks and my doctor only barely felt around for the baby at my 34 week appt. and didn't give us an estimate in size other than to measure my belly and tell me I'm was measuring at 35 weeks.

I'll be getting 2 growth scans to see a weight estimate. One this next week and one at the end of May. I didn't ask for it, but because I have gestational diabetes and am measuring 4 weeks bigger (I'm 32 weeks, measuring 36) they wanna see if it's her that's bigger or if I have more fluid.

I'm in the same boat my midwife just pokes at my belly, tells me my baby is head down and checks the heartbeat. I guess as long as I'm measuring ok they're not gonna check for the weight

I'm 34 weeks today, we have been having  2 ultrasounds a week for 3 weeks to measure the baby and make sure we are both doing well. I have gestational diabetes and this could have the baby grow rapidly. We had been getting estimates, but told they can be very inaccurate. Just this week my baby is estimated to weigh 6 lbs 13 oz and is roughly 3 weeks ahead. The Dr told me this could change and we will be measured again in 2 weeks. If your not having an ultrasound or getting estimates it's because you are healthy and on track. I hope this helps!

I'm 34 weeks..I got a growth scan yesterday and baby was measuring at 5lb 6 Oz,, i only had one as at my last app they thought my bump was small so sent me for it... but shes perfect and perfect weight 🤗🤗 xx

My midwife has also not been indicating the baby's weight and I was wondering the same thing!

I had an appt today at 33weeks3days and my baby girl was estimated to weigh 3lbs6oz so I have to do biophysical scans weekly to monitor growth. I know some offices don't do a lot of ultrasounds...

Nope. Unless I were to specifically ask, he doesn't say much. I have my last ultrasound in 2 weeks at 36+3 but even with my first 2 he never gave me an estimated weight. They're not very accurate anyway so I'm not worried about it.

Just had my 2nd scan as about 6 wks ago was told baby was measuring 4 wks ahead,  weight at 30w was 5lbs 1oz, now at 34w weighing 6lbs 14oz so with this in mind we are scheduling a csection due to his size for his safety.

I just get them bc I have HG and I'm measuring 4 weeks ahead. Btwn the two, they just want to make sure he's growing well and that I don't have too much fluid (since I'm measuring so big).

I am considered high risk so I had to go a lot and they do a more thrall look around at the size and growth so they tell me every time about how big he is right then. Right now they are saying that his is 75% lager and seams to be steadily growing at that rate
