sore throat remedies

Woke up today with the worst sore throat :/ I could feel it setting in last night and then this morning it's just like, BAM, swollen! Bad thing is I can't go get some cloroseptic spray or anything just yet because I'm waiting on the dryer guy to come fix our dryer, wth the window of 8am-12pm haha, got to love those windows of wasted time. I tried doing a salt gargle, any other mamas have sore throats with pregnancy? What did you do? Also I'm parinoid because Monday I found out my son has an ear infection :( poor guy...... but I don't want to get it, if it can even be passed to me? Not sure? Ugh it sucks being sick and pregnant, and the rainy day is just making me want to sleep all day!
