Is it tacky to have a gender reveal and a baby shower? Please comment opinions. Also so do people even bring gifts to gender reveals?

Not tacky at all. I know many people who do both. Also some people like to bring diapers or something to gender reveals but i wouldn't except it. Gifts are really for the shower.

I will be doing both whenever we get pregnant!  A gender reveal in my eyes is a party to find out the sex of the baby with those you love the most!  Not a gift giving party.

It's not tacky, unless you request gifts or something at both. We'll probably do a BBQ get together with fam to reveal the gender, and then hold a more formal baby shower. I don't really like attention focused on me so I'm hoping my hubby is interested in a co Ed, party like baby shower for friends and family.

Most don't do gifts for a reveal, wait until you know the sex, have taken the time to do a registry. Yes, it is tacky yo ask people to bring gifts for both but never tacky to throw a partu and ask people to attend without a gift

I originally wanted to do both, to make me feel less tacky for hosting a baby shower and basically just asking people to come give me stuff for my kid. With a gender reveal, people have a reason to come other than just to give you stuff.

I had a gender reveal and no gifts. Didn't ask for anything because it's a gender reveal. Have your shower afterwards to get baby gifts lol.

No I just think it'd be kind of hard with gifts because I've found there is like no gender neutral stuff. Even online it was hard to find stuff.

We're planning on a small gender reveal party with family and close friends and then  an actual baby shower. We're going to have a giant coed barbecue!
