Is me being upset justified ??

I found out my baby shower is May 20th. I'm furious because I'll be 38 weeks 2 days by that time & I have a VERY STRONG feeling my daughter will be born early. The shower is May 20th because my mother in law decided it'll be a great idea to go to her country for the whole month of April last minute meanwhile she knew my mother was planning the shower for April ever since she found out I was pregnant. Finding this out has me pissed off & I honestly don't even want the shower anymore ... Do I have the right to be mad ??
