is it possible to have phantom braces pain?

Okay so if you've ever had braces, you know the pain of them. It hurts your teeth, the bone above your teeth. It's like a constant pulling, dull pain.
I think the worst time I felt that was when I had braces and the bars on the inside of my teeth with springs on them. That shit was painful.
Last night,  I was having dreams of getting my braces put back on. I woke up to horrible pain, grabbing my face, it's not a tooth-ache. My entire mouth hurts even under my tongue. I took some pain killers and got an ice pack and slowly went back to sleep as the pain got better.
Guys! It feels like I have braces in my mouth and I don't understand what's going on!! I haven't had braces in 3 years.  It's sketchy because there isn't a source of pain. It's my entire mouth and all of my teeth.  I'm thinking maybe a sinus infection and I just have major pressure above my mouth in my nasal cavity causing pain but I'm lo and behold I'm snot free.
