Cataplexy 🤔
Just found out today (through email) that I have cataplexy without narcolepsy and that's extremely rare. Essentially, I collapse for a few seconds to a couple minutes while completely conscious. I just lose all control of my upper body and knees and just drop down. I haven't found out what exactly triggers an episode yet, but I'm working on it and thinking it just might be stress. Which is odd, because I have handled so many stressful situations and never had an issue before. I'm getting more tests done, but I'm just glad to know what I have now. I'm not looking for advice or even acknowledgement, I just wanted to get this out and say something as it's 3am and nobody else is awake.
