glucose test?

Can I opt out of the glucose test?
I had it done at 16 weeks, I failed the first time then passed the second. 
Im 22 weeks 6 days and I switched to a new OB and they want me to retake the test at 24 weeks. But I feel if I didn't have it before the damn drink is gonna give me diabetes on it's own 🙄

I'd take it again. Things can develop fast in pregnancy. Plus at 16 weeks it's not as accurate as when it's done later. It's not to bad.

I've heard the later in pregnancy the more likely you are to test false-positive, however if you were actually positive earlier in pregnancy you might want to redo the test. Your new OB should be willing to accept the 22 week results though, it's not far off from 24 weeks 🙄

They can do one blood test to get the result mention it to the person requesting it. I got it instead due to a severe needle phobia :)

Most likely, they just want the results to be as accurate as possible. My high risk ob is a stickler for week 28, and only in very few cases does he ask patients to test earlier. I personally wouldn't skip the test but if you're opposed to the drink itself, ask your ob about what alternatives they offer.

I took mine on Monday at 24w6d and of course I failed! I felt like such a failure and all I wanted to do was cry. I went on Wednesday at 25w1d for the 3 hour one and I was beyond terrified. I got a call early this morning from my doctor's office and I won't lie, I was very scared to answer, but I was told that I passed with flying colors. My doctor just said to try and watch what I eat to make sure that it doesn't contain a lot of refined sugars.

I recommend to take it again,I took it at 25 w and pass it and now at 37w they retook it and I have gestational diabetes,I'm on diet and measuring my blood sugar 6 times daily so it's better to have it again

I recommend taking it again. Gestational diabetes can cause the placenta to give up and has many times caused still birth if gone untreated or if it's really severe. A drink cannot cause diabetes.

No harm in doing it again. Pregnancy does crazy things to our bodies, and you wouldn't want to skip something as important as that.
