As a whole, do you believe we live in a healthy society?

If not, what are some things you think we could do to change our ways and become healthier together?

IMO, I think we waste a lot of food in the US, our death rates for heart attacks have increased, and we over prescribe too many drugs, that are being abused and addictive.

Not particularly, but I hate seeing individuals blamed and called lazy for systemic problems.

Compared to other points in history, yes. I think we have room for improvement. But diseases are being eradicated and life expectancy is up.

Nope, physical and mental health is seriously lacking. We would rather put the work into finding a way around a problem then to solve it. Think about something like heart disease, instead of focusing on taking care of the heart from day 1, our focus is on finding ways to repair them after we screw them up. We would rather not get the oil changes regularly and instead just replace the whole car later. We are a culture of convenience, we live our lives for immediate gratification not long term. Eat the cheeseburger now, worry about heart problems later, smoke a cigarette now, drink a beer now, have a screaming argument now. No one worries about consequences of their actions 5, 10, 20 years down the road, as long as they felt good doing it.

No. There is too much easy access to pure junk. I'm guilty of binging on it all day long sometimes. I'll eat cookies for breakfast sometimes. I did hear the place I work at is doing away with a majority of the candy and trying to promote more healthy eating though so that is a plus.

Definitely healthy foods need to be promoted more than the bad stuff. America is overloaded with greasy unhealthy fattening options.
