birth control causing piercings to get infected?

I was on birth control for a while and then I stopped for about a year. I got back on it last month and now every single piercing i have is getting infected. I don't know if it's because of the birth control but I've had all of them well over 3 years now and they have never been infected. Has this happened to anyone else? What could this be from?
