Birthing center?

Hi ladies. This is will be my 3rd baby after 2 previous c-sections 5 and 6 years ago. I'm very prepared for the possibility of my beloved OBGYN of 7 years NOT letting me attempt the natural birth (vbac) I so desperately want. I've been looking into birthing centers but would love to hear recommendations or experiences from women who have delivered at a birthing center in Phoenix AZ. Thank you in advance!

Blossom Birth Center & Baby Moon Inn are two great birth centers in Phoenix. I'm not sure if they allow VBAC in their facilities as I know lots of birth centers have strict rules on whether or not to permit VBAC. With Baby Moon Inn, I'm pretty sure they will take you on as a patient but it will be a planned hospital birth, where your midwife at Baby Moon will still be your primary care provider at hospital and will advocate for you and your baby, and getting the VBAC birth experience you want. As for Blossom Birth Center, I'm not sure how Blossom operates, but if I remember correctly, some of my mama friends have talked about them being VBAC friendly at their facilities. I've had close friends deliver at both birth centers and they have all had really amazing experiences. I'm located in Phoenix as well and am 36 weeks. I'm trying for a homebirth with my amazing midwife (who used to be with Blossom before starting her own private practice), but we did tour Baby Moon & Blossom and we were very impressed.

Some birth centers do not allow VBAC. If you can't find an out of hospital location you could switch OBs and hospitals.
