Evening Primrose oil

So I'm currently 40 weeks and 3 days I was due for Wednesday. I had a stress test today to make sure the baby was ok. Everything was great! But the nurse told me about the evening Primrose oil pills. I went to Wal-Mart and bought them. I'm doing it tonight. Has to be whole laying down so oil doesn't leak out. Who has done this method to induce labor? Any recommendations to help me tonight? Please I'm nervous about doing this but want her out to have in my arms. And btw this is my second girl have a 3 yr old and had a miscarriage last May. And now my baby girl! Thanks in advance
