lots of blood?!

My girlfriend accidentally scratched my pee hole and it started like gushing blood. It wouldn't stop bleeding. I put a wet paper towel on it and eventually it stopped bleeding. I stupidly put on underwear and it started bleeding again. There is like a slit, but I don't know if it's deep. It stings to pee but I expected that. She's super worried and I'm not. But should I be?
