Signing with baby?

Question

Have any of you tried to sign with your baby? Or successfully done it/taught them?
When did you start with the teaching?  
I mean simple things that help with communication. Done, more, sleep, eat, etc. 
Please let me know your experiences and any tips!

I started at 6 months with my son I wouldn't do it again as he only signed until he was two no speach problems he just preferred to sign then it took us a year to get him to where he was supposed to be he's great now at 6 it was just frustrating that he wasn't meeting his milestones with speach and I thought something was wrong

I did it, worked amazingly well with my son. He was able to communicate his desires long before he could voice them so there was less crying to decipher.

Muy nephew is autistic and that was how he learned to communicate before he started speaking. He still uses it sometimes but not as often. Honestly it's never too early to start teaching. If your child is introduced early, they will retain that information better.

Sign was my first language. I still use it to this day. A lot of people think it will cause their kids to not speak or develop learning deficiencies. I had no problems with that. I will teach my kids to sign. For many reasons.
