glomus tumour surgery

Irrelevant to this app but I need help! Has anyone on here had a glomus tumour and had it surgically removed? I have one on my finger and currently looking into getting it removed but scared of what the outcome might be-i've heard horror stories of losing all function in your finger or having a dodgy nail grow back. If anyone could share their experience that would be great thanks!
