Is this cultural appropriation?

This women's art exhibit has been cancelled after claims that she has culturally appropriated Indigenous art. Others state that all art is an expression of our surroundings and that artists have been using the influence of other artists for hundreds (maybe longer) of years.

Do you think it's appropriation?

Native Artists got the exhibit shut down because they felt she appropriated a Native Style of art that tells a story and is tied to indigenous culture. To me this is just typical stuff. Someone taking something from another culture, claiming they were "inspired" and believing they are the victims of discrimination of some sort when they tried to make a buck off of an art style that they didn't even create. But whatever

Honestly it depends. If she completely copied the work or copied it close enough I think it'd be appropriation. But if she just drew inspiration from artwork without copying it'd be appreciation.
