mastitis?

I had a 102 fever yesterday, a terrible headache, bodyaches and one of my boobs had a few hard spots that I was not able to nurse away. My fever went away today but my head still hurts and my boob still have hard spots that are tender to the touch. My boob doesn't have any red spots. Does mastitis go away on its own? Any tips getting rid of the clogged ducts.

No, mastitis will not go away on its own and it gets worse, fast. Nurse, warm compress, and massage. But you need antibiotics so go see the doctor!

Word of warning, careful with using heat. Yes, it helps the lumps go away as it makes it easier to drain the boob, BUT heat also helps bacteria grown, and the last thing you want with mastitis is the bacteria multiplying.

You could try taking boob specific probiotics. Not sure where you are or which ones you'd be able to get.

I don't know if it can go away on its own.
Here are some tips
-massage the hard spot while nursing
-get a warm compress (not hot) and press it there and then massage the hard spots
-if you have a pump, massage while pumping
-if you think you have mastitis, eat lots of vitamin C and a clove of raw garlic. I know it's gross, but it works
