as a married couple how do you work together to save money and move forward if you're having financial problems?

Just got married and me and my husband will be having money problems. I work part time he works full time. I have a busy crazy schedule and still in college. We have bills to pay as everyone does and still have to bring food in the table. We will work together to move forward but as a new married couple can I have some advice on what we can do or how can it help up move on with this situation?

What helped us most was actually combining our bank accounts. So of you guys are willing to do that then I suggest you start there. This will help alot because then you guys can keep track of spending better.  Set a budget. Make a list of the bills you'll have to pay and the dates they are normally due. Then transfer it on to a calender so you'll know what bills you can pay with what check. Once you have a total of bills which ever one you will have the most left over with buy the big grocery items. Such as meat and start to stock up on it. Once you have a stock pile of meat this can save you almost monthly! My husband and I buy meat once every 2 months if that. Then that way with the smaller check you will have you hopefully still have enough to buy the main essentials items for the meals. Hopefully this makes sense lol. But the main thing is definitely just budget and divide bills from the time they're due and when you'll get paid.

Well the two of you need to set a budget. Figure out how much yawl bring in a month and how much all of your bills are. Be sure to include gas and food. Anything not necessary should be eliminated i.e. cable, eating out...if you are shelling out more than you bring home you will never be stable.
