contact lense wearers?

Ive been wearing contacts for 5 years, and my eyes lately have been getting really dry, my eyelids are puffy, and my eyes are red. The doctor says i have allergies, so im taking antihistamine eyedrops and stuff but i want to get rid of this permanantly, since its been going on for a while. Anyone have a similar issue? What did you do?

I've been wearing them on and off for 12 years there's a dry eye drops you can get from the optician that you can put in while you're wearing them, I wish I could remember the name of it. But it's been a lifesaver on more than one occasion, do you wear dailies or monthlies? If monthlies I'd recommend the dailies cuz you don't need to worry about cleaning them and less chance of irritation. If you wear dailies then I'd take antihistamines and put the drops in after giving your eyes at least 2 days break. Good luck :)

I've been wearing lenses for about 4-5 years. I'd say give your eyes some rest whenever you feel like your eyes are irritated and maybe wear your glasses for two weeks or so.

Ooh that sucks. I've been wearing contacts for about 2+ years. Whenever they're getting irritating I immediately stop wearing them and give them a few days to a week break where I just wear glasses. My optician lady also told me to soak them in something with a cotton pad but I forgot what it was so that's no help, but it's to do with the glands being blocked. Just wear them less when your eyes are in pain, and don't put on as much eye makeup either. That really helped me.
