Positive opk?

So - AF was due 5/1 and I've been spotting since lastnight but now it's just about done. My husband saw this thing about how you can take an opk kind of like a pregnancy test, and if I comes up positive then you might be pregnant because LH and HCG are like "twin sisters." So we said eh, why not? Took an ovulation test and it was positive - but I'm 4, almost 5 days late and my periods only last 5 days! As I recall I shouldn't be ovulating right now.. So, does this mean that being pregnant could be a possibility?
