Can I use this to help my 6 month old to help him sit up by himself????

You can use it, but I'm not sure you will use it long or if it will actually help baby learn to sit up. Babies hit their milestones at their own pace. My babies all sat around 6 months, but my girlfriend had a son that didn't until he was 10 months! He seemed behind on everything, but then caught right up and he's doing great.

By 7 months my babies weren't using bumbo's, jumpers, exersaucers or anything because they wanted to be free. I'm not sure you'll get your money's worth out of that.

We have this and it's awesome! I can clean the house or get ready with no worries

I wouldn't waste money on it. Just sitting him on the floor leaning against you or putting him in the tripod position works just as well. I just googled YouTube videos of ways to help baby learn to sit.
