get rid of the dog!!!

I have severe allergy triggered asthma. Both my kids have really bad allergies. My husband bought a dog anyways even though I told him the dog will bring more pollen in the house n make us all worse. He's stuck on some childhood dream because he was never allowed a dog as a kid and now refuses to get rid of it. Nthe dog sheds like crazy. I told him he needs to give it regular baths and brushing and needs to vacuum and mop every day. It's been several months and that dog has only had 1 bath. The floors have only been cleaned 3-4 times. And now my kids are attached to the dog and he's using them as an excuse to not get rid of it. Gahhh what do I do?!
