Question

Till when can a pregnant person work in retail. I work in Burlington and they are telling me I'd have to leave before 8 months.... I never heard of that... anyone heard of this? Or work in similar work environment? Till when did you work or till when will you be working ?

I'm a general manager in retail and I've never worked for a company that had a policy like that. I'm working up till my due date. As long as you can still perform your job duties you should be fine.

I worked at sonic as a manager for 4 of my pregnancies and I worked all the way up until the day I had them I was on my feet for 10 hours or more a day doing the work of 3 sometimes 4 people

Ive never heard of this its usually the mothers choice when she stops...Im pretty sure they can't force you to stop legally. My job at a bank said I could work until I was in labor if I wanted too.

I'm a manager at a retail store and I worked up until I was 39 weeks. I could've worked up to the day if I had wanted to. It's up to the individual they can't force you to take leave early. I wouldn't have been able to take it much earlier anyways because maternity leave with my company isnt very long. I would just make sure that your employer is giving you proper breaks and accommodating for your pregnancy limitations like lifting and such.

That sounds like bullshit. I Work in childcare and could had worked until I was in labor,  but I went on leave one week earlier just to make final preparations.
