Confused about ex boyfriend and new guy

So...I was with my ex for over six years and I was the one that broke up with for the first time this past September. I was tired of feeling like he wasn't putting any effort or valuing me as person. He is a good guy, but he wouldn't show he loved me. I was very patient with him and were together after three other breakup before that. Anyway, I met a guy in November that I was so attracted to, not just physically but more to his personality. This is the first guy I have been attracted to in 10 years because I wasn't attracted to my ex at first (we were friends first). When I broke up with my ex I was just focusing on myself but yet I didn't think that I was ever going to be attracted to another guy again or even feel something close to how I got feelings for my ex...I felt this instint connection with this new guy, like nothing before. Fast word to more recently, this new guy told me he was attracted to me also and I have a nice personality but he wasn't ready for a relationship. I was being understanding since he got out of a serious long term relationship last year too. However, the few times we've gone out he just looks at me and noticed everything down to what I'm wearing lol. He's VERY respectful, such a gentleman and hasn't made a move on me. I went out dancing with him last night, but he seems like he holds himself back. However, for some reason I thought about my ex. I was convinced I was over him especially after meeting the new guy. But I feel a bit confused. I guess because the new guy friend zoned me pretty much yet he acts in a curious way. Can someone please give in their opinion?
