Why do women get jealous of other women's cooking?

Ok I have done this before.  Even if someone says another man or woman cooks better than me.  I know there are women who are the same way.  Why is this?  I don't get why I take it so personally. Anyone can tell me why I am like this???  I have heard that a lot of women are the same way.  I mean it can be another man cooking, and if someone says his cooking is better, I'd be mad.  I don't get it. ( I also don't like men who cook, because they get in my way ...and try to take over when I am cooking....thank goodness my man doesn't cook)

It seems rude in general.

The neighbor cooks better than you.

She dresses better than you.

He presents gifts much nicer than you.

I've had better soup elsewhere.

My wife could learn to do makeup like yours, she's not as talented.

Your cleaning is worse than a maid's.

It basically undermines your efforts. 🤔

I wouldn't take it personal, but I have never had someone tell me that someone else's food is better than mine. Everyone loves my food. I think if you're a jealous person in general maybe something as trivial as that would make you jealous.

I'd be more than happy to have a woman over to cook for my SO and I every night so we could enjoy her cooking and never feel a twinge of jealousy. She can clean too if she wants.

Because it has been taught from generation to generation recipes and people like my grandmother always told me growing up "if you wanna keep a good man you better keep him happy in bed and in the kitchen!" And I think women feel like if someone e can cook better their position could be threatened.

I say if my husband likes someone's food I am going to be getting that recipe.

And as far as a man cooking...their is nothing sexier then cooking together. Or him doing dishes after I have slaved in the kitchen to cook him what he wanted!

I don't get it!  My husband told his mom that one of my meals tasted like hers.... She did not like that!!
