SHAVING OR WAXING?!

Hey ladies I have serious curious question lol. I was diagnosed with HSV2 in October 2016 and in the beginning it was awful. I've definitely had my series of outbreaks in the beginning... I just couldn't understand why I would have back to back OB 2 weeks apart until I realized it was because I SHAVED my Lily 😱 bad idea I know right but what else was I supposed to do!? I'm terrified of getting waxed because I don't want down there to get irritated. What would you ladies suggest shaving/waxing or trimming?

I get waxed. I do NOT like shaving mine at all. Maybe the razor is what's irritating you. Waxes aren't that bad though.

I've also noticed when I don't shave I don't have any outbreaks at all but I'm tired of the wolverine look 😂 I NEED ANSWERS

I'm an esthetician and we were taught that ppl with hsv aren't supposed to get waxed. Its considered a contraindication. But I do anyways.

I was thinking the same exact thing. Because I prefer to be shaved I was wondering if shaving will irritate me more and cause an outbreak. I'm on daily valtrex so I'm hoping that will do it's job... but I'm considering waxing even though I've never done it before

Honestly when I have hair, I get more irritated and thus more breakouts! I prefer waxing for sure, but I was also getting laser hair removal which was working well until I moved and haven't found a place in my new city.

I actually like using nair. It's simple. So easy, it just comes off in the shower. I also have this cream that I use afterwards to prevent bumps and irritation.
