How to keep your home smelling fresh?

How do you keep that fresh, newly cleaned smell? I sweep my floors every second day and it smells nice... for an hour or so, then it's back to smelling nothing. I really don't understand how people always have their homes smell so clean. Any advice?

You smell nothing because you've gotten used to the smell after an hour. When you go into someone else's home you notice smells because you're not around them as much.

Yeah, your olfactory senses adapt out within about 15 minutes if not more. I'm sure your house smells fine. If you always want to smell something, then you can light different candles different days to keep it fresh.

Try essential oils! That's what we use and we love them! We typically diffuse them and we have a diffuser in every room (we have a small house, so that's not a lot, I promise 😋). I also put essential oils on pieces of felt and hang them around the house. It makes my house smell good for hours!

Febreeze sprayer. The one with the timer. I use thr clean linen scent and it is fantastic.

I also am obsessed with Bath and Body Works candles. The Lemon and Mint Leaf one makes my house smell like I just deep cleaned and it smells amazing!

I mix a cup of whatever fabric softner I like in a large squirt bottle with warm water. Spay pretty much everything. Lasts forever to.

I use wax melts and plug inns work the best especially if you keep refilling them. I love candles too!

You get use to it so it doesn't smell like anything. But I hate that because I have 3 dogs and don't want my house smelling bad to other people lol. But I clean every week all day, I have a sentsy in pretty much every room and change them every week. And occasionally light a candle as well. And it's pricy but I bought yankee candles once and they work sooooo good. Worth the money.

I use wax melts (3 of them are constantly going), candles, glade automatic sprayers and plug ins. I try to keep the same scent all through out the house though. I have a two year old, a pitt, and two cats. Keeping my house clean feels nearly impossible. At least it smells good though 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

I use essential oils drops in whatever places I might think. In the bathroom for example I use them on the inside part of the toilet paper tube. Quality essential oils don't leave spots on fabric so you can use them on the carpet also...
