How do you do nap time?

Question

I've gotten into a bad habit of snuggling my daughter to sleep for her naps.

I'm just wondering how everyone does naps with their babies? Do you just put them in their crib at the same time everyday? I tried that the other day and she cried for awhile but did fall asleep. I just want to break the habit of needing me to nap.

Curious what everyone else is doing!

I'm also guilty of holding my son during his naps. He'll lie down in his rock and play, but not his crib. I know I should put him down, I know he needs to learn to lie down without me, but I just love him so much and I love cuddling with him. I want to enjoy it while I can, I know he's going to grow so fast and we're not having any more children.

I nurse my daughter to sleep and then put her in her swing

I did sleep training so I just kiss him and put him in his crib and leave the room. It's made my life immeasurably better. I can sleep at night and have a few hours to myself during the day to clean or just sit down and relax. Looooove nap time. I used to hate it bc he would only nap in my arms. Now i do a happy dance during nap time.

We do naps when needed not by schedule.  Normally they end up being around the same time but some days longer or shorter depending on the day. I also hold her to fall asleep which I'm ok with because they're only little for so long. Sometimes naps are in the car seat or stroller if we're out. She sleeps through the night and I tried scheduled naps but it just didn't work for our lifestyle.

My baby girl nurses to go to sleep for all naps and at bedtime. I am regretting this now but I love the snuggles. I can rock or bounce her to sleep though too but she still only sleeps on/with somebody.

mine lets me know he's tired. I put him in his crib with music on and he falls asleep and usually sleeps about 2 hrs

We've always done naps alone in the crib. I just put him in the crib and he falls asleep

Lie her down in crib, turn on white noise machine and leave room. I do this for 2 naps a day and bedtime. Usually she'll either roll onto her side or tummy and fall right asleep or kick at the toy on her crib railing for a few minutes and fall asleep. If she is a little overtired she might cry for just a few minutes but she'll soothe herself by playing with her hands.

When he's tired I put him in his sleep sack and put him in his crib. He learned napping alone at daycare though, he napped on me before he started going there.
