can someone help easy my mind

So the ob called saying my hcg levels went up like they are supposed too and then said my ob doctor wants me to do an ultrasound around may 22nd-26th, why would he be wanting an ultrasound early when the ultrasound husband as scheduled for next month on the 21st??
