Should the father be on the birth certificate?
We aren't together, never dated, basically have just been hooking up for 3 years. He's not a terrible person but not great either. He hasn't been there for me much and gets weird even talking about me being pregnant. He basically wants no part in it until MAYBE after he or she is born. I don't think he should choose when to be a parent. He has a 3 year old and told me that he doesn't know if he'll love my baby as much as his kid. And honestly, I don't know if I'd trust him alone with my kid because of him saying that. How is he going to love one of his kids more than the other? If both of them were in danger would he save his son before my child? It's not something I want to even risk. What are the pros and cons to not having the father on the birth certificate?
