Hellofresh!!??

Question

Has anyone tried hello fresh? How did it work for you? How was the food? I was given a free trial but had to enter my card info. I want to cancel but i want to get my food first lol. I paused the account so it shouldnt charge me I do plan on canceling my subscription if i do not enjoy the service, but i want to know everyones opinion on it. I do think it is very overpriced. Do you like it or hate it? Is it a scam? All opinions are welcome thanks :)!!

We enjoy it. I haven't been getting my boxes lately because I'm always so nauseas and hate the smell of food cooking, but we found that it saved us money vs grocery shopping. I love that they seperate the ingredients by boxes unlike Blue Apron. But occasionally we did receive stale meat but they have since switched meat packaging companies and always gave us a credit when it happened! I say go for it!

Not sure about hello fresh but home chef was awesome when we could afford it. I got laid off and we're broke now but maybe when we're bringing in more cash I'll start ordering again 😅

My husband and I are too picky and have too many allergies to do any of those services sadly :( I do see a lot of benefit last of not having to grocery shop with a newborn or decide meals ahead of time lol

We started it when I got pregnant because I was too sick to go to the grocery store - or didn't have an appetite so I couldn't really choose what to make for dinner. It was hard for us at first because raw meat was making me sick but we are really enjoying it. I recommend it if you don't want to have to decide what to cook. Sometimes it feels like a lot of work (as opposed to throwing something in the crock pot) but my husband loves it. He thinks the food is so good and that the portions are good. I definitely think it's worth trying. You can try your first box for free (cancel when you receive it and then try it and decide if you want to continue). I used to hate the commitment but now that it's getting nicer out and I'm busier it's nice knowing dinner is already at home and I don't have to stop at the store.

I LOVE Sunbasket! Everything is organic and they have lots of selections every week (something like 10 meals to choose from). They rarely use carbs (for example they will switch out regular rice for "cauliflower rice"), and their chefs are so creative. Ive tried Blue Apron, Hello Fresh, and Plated, but Sunbasket is by far my favorite, and my husband agrees!
