I was just diagnosed this past week but have been having the "bumps" for almost 7 years. I had been to multiple doctors and they said I didn't have herpes because fungal creams would make it get better. snap back to today and now that I know for sure I have it. I'm a mess. I have been with my partner over 10yrs and luckily he has never contracted it.

I was diagnosed this year a few days after my 23rd bday. At first I was sad and depressed and felt like I was dirty and did something wrong (I haven’t slept around with many men) until I did my research and found out I wasn’t the only one with this virus and that the virus is dormant and could’ve been in my body for a very long time and just now decided to surface.. I get bumps and sores down on my lady parts. My first outbreak happened in July and it was awful, but I learned how my body can withstand that kind of pain and how strong of an individual I am dealing with the outbreak and it made me love and appreciate myself more ☺️ just always remember you are not alone!

I got it in type 2 in 5th grade and didn't get it sexually, I have never known how I got it  :(

I was actually born with a variation of the herpes virus. Both my parents had this same condition and it simply makes me more prone to cold sores and pimples.

I was 19, just diagnosed last March..Trusted the man who is too scared to get retested because he " doesn't wanna think about it". Sometimes it still makes me sad to think someone would make this my fault when I was just as clueless as him.
