Mother's Day while pregnant with the first

Is your SO doing anything for you for Mother's Day if you're pregnant with your first? My SO isn't into birthdays or like Christmas because he hates feeling obligated to do something just because it's a day you "have" to. He likes doing things/getting gifts for people on random days. But I seen a text from his dad reminding him Mother's Day is this weekend and to get me flowers so I'd really feel like a mother(however he put it). Like I said I know he hates feeling obligated to do something. But I'd really love it if he did. Because he's bought be flowers one time in 4 years, and he hasn't done/got anything random for me in a long time. I know gifts and that stuff aren't importnant but I mean he'd do stuff like get me a spatula or something small cause I needed it and I always loved that cause it showed he's paying attention and he was thinking of me and because we like never go out because he such a homebody and hates spending money which I understand, but still. And it'd mean a lot to me to get something as simple as flowers because this is our first child and I've had some complications where we didn't know if I'd continue the pregnancy. I just don't know how to bring it up or if I even should because I don't want to make him feel forced to get me something if he really doesn't want to. But I'd be a little disappointed if he didn't do anything😕 just not sure what to do.
