Plus Size Ultrasounds?🤔

I'm a plus size woman & pregnant with my first. I actually don't carry a lot of fat in my tummy like around my uterus area, but I have my first ultrasound scheduled for next week & im wondering & worrying if my weight will cause problems for the ultrasound tech. Will they be more prone to use a transvaginal ultrasound & if so does it hurt? What was your experience?

My sister is plus size an she never had an issue getting ultrasounds.

The first one will be transvaginal no matter your size since baby is so small. Sometimes it does make things more difficult to see so you may end up having your ultrasounds a little later than most. The anatomy scan is usually done at 20wks and sometimes they will wait until 21 or 22 for plus size women so they can see better. If you don't carry a lot of weight there then I don't know if it will be any different for you!

I have a little bit of excess belly fat and I had an abdominal ultrasound at 10 weeks without issue. Same for my 14 week and 19 week ones.

I was a US size 16 before getting pregnant. My first U/S was transvaginal since the baby was so tiny (I was only 9 Weeks along).  I had an anatomy scan last week (19 weeks) and it was a normal abdominal ultrasound, no problems.

That's not true it depends how far along you are I have a lot of belly fat and I went at 13 weeks for and ultrasound and there was no problem seeing the baby :)
