is it wrong that my SO goes out all the time?
My SO goes out to the bars from 10pm-2:30am every time I'm not home. Right now, the bars are closed, his phone is off, and hes not home. It's the middle of the night, and I am so angry; but I'm not sure if I'm overreacting or being unreasonable.
Backstory: I went to my mom's house this weekend. She lives 3 hours away, and I try to see her twice a month because she's sick. Every single time I'm gone (whether at my mom's house or traveling for work), my boyfriend goes out on the town to bar hop. He doesn't go out with friends, he says it's just him. He usually leaves the house at 10pm and stays out later than when the bars close (at 1:30am). Usually, he'll get home around 2:30am.
Overall, I'd say that I'm gone about 5 nights a month. Every single one of those 5 nights, he comes home drunk at about 2:30ish AM. We don't go out much together (he never seems to want to);and, the last time we went out together, one of his friends said "I'm surprised to see you out together."
I don't know what he's doing between 10pm-2:30am, I don't know who he's with or where he's at. I'm up late prepping for tomorrow at work, and he still isn't home. I tried calling, and his phone is turned off. The bars are already closed. I don't know what is going on. And, I'm getting very angry.
Am I overreacting? Should I be ok that my partner goes out drinking whenever I'm away?
